The Rockville RTB10A Powered Subwoofer Enclosure is a high-quality powered bass enclosure that Rockville has manufactured. Growing up, one of my best friends bought a car that had a powered bass enclosure, and the amazing sound it produced has never been forgotten.
Featuring the Rockville RTB10A 10" 500w Powered Subwoofer Tube with Bass Remote, this enclosure boasts an impressive set of specifications. It delivers 500 Watts Peak/250 Watts RMS power through its 10" high-power woofer in a vented tubular enclosure. The integrated, built-in 250 Watts RMS rated amplifier powers the rear aero vent bass system, which accepts both speaker level and RCA line-level inputs. The frequency response ranges from 30Hz to 200Hz, with a sensitivity of 108 dB. Users can adjust the bass crossover and control the bass remotely from the dashboard.
Complementing the subwoofer is the Rockville RWK10 10 Gauge 2 Channel Car Amplifier Wiring Installation Kit. This kit includes a 17' high-grade twisted pair of 100% copper RCA cable, 17' 10 gauge translucent blue super-flex power cables, 17' 18 gauge blue remote cable, 17' 16 gauge clear speaker wire, and a 3' 10 gauge clear super-flex ground wire. Also provided are a gold-plated AGU heat-resistant fuse holder, a 40 Amp ATU inline fuse, and a 7-split tube loom. Accessories such as wire ties, ring terminals, butt connectors, spades, and grommets are also included.
The subwoofer enclosure's tube is covered in durable aviation-grade tweed with an embroidered logo, and the molded steel woofer grill is accompanied by four steel mounting brackets and two canvas straps with Velcro fasteners. The dimensions of the enclosure are 10.75" x 20.86". The wiring kit's soft, abrasion-proof insulating jacket allows for 100% improved flexibility, and the PVC outer jacket can withstand an extreme temperature range of -40 to 220 degrees Fahrenheit.
